Yesterday was a big day for Leadership Sandusky County’s Class of 2026. We wrapped up our final class session in the morning by focusing on Small Business & Entrepreneurship in Sandusky County, hearing from an incredible lineup of local leaders: Miranda Hoffman (Small Business Development Center at Terra State Community College), Kristie Bilger (Downtown Fremont Inc.), Michael & Natalie Hasselbach (Outpour Coffee), and entrepreneur and Fremont Speedway promoter, Rich Farmer. Their insights showcased the passion, risk-taking, and collaboration that fuel our local economy and downtowns.
That afternoon, we celebrated the graduation of 18 outstanding leaders who shared reflections on their year-long journey: how they’ve grown in confidence and leadership, and how they’re already applying new skills like communication, emotional intelligence, and time management in their day-to-day roles. They also spoke about all they’ve discovered in Sandusky County, from hidden local businesses and a strong manufacturing base to our rich history and the many organizations working together to strengthen our community.
A huge thank you to the employers who sponsored these participants. Your investment in their development is an investment in the future of Sandusky County. This class is especially meaningful as the first to graduate under the management of the Sandusky County Economic Development Corporation, and it has been a true privilege getting to know each member of this cohort.
Congratulations to the Class of 2026! Your leadership journey is just getting started, and we can’t wait to see the impact you’ll continue to make. Applications for the Class of 2027 will be opening soon, so stay tuned!

Day 12: Meet Ryan Caster!
Ryan is a Service Manager at Kuns Northcoast Security, keeping our community safe and secure every day! When he's not managing security services, Ryan's all about football and family time. He's incredibly proud of his daughter Scarlett and is looking forward to enjoying the summer months with her and his fiancé.
What we love about Ryan: His simple but powerful takeaway from LSC: "Be kind and helpful within the community." Sometimes the most profound lessons are also the most straightforward, and Ryan embodies this spirit of community kindness in everything he does.
