Simple pleasures in life
Number 1 - Coconut water from the tree. I used to have coconut water everyday during my summer visits to my grandparents village. It was also an advantage that we owned a coconut tree farm. I am saddened that my daughter won't experience these as often. She hasn't been to India yet, and when we do it will be for a short duration. The illustrations in this book are some of my memories at my grandparents place. Each page represents something special.

What are the simple pleasures that you miss?

My memories of a village mela ( carnival) included going to the mela in a bullock cart, eating candy from the stalls and buying balloons. Did you attend a village mela when you were little?
