Four K Labradors

Miss Addy went 3 for 3 in the last 2 weeks to earn her AKC Senior Title this weekend. Thanks Marin and Saghens Retriever clubs for setting up 2 great hunt tests.

tough run, but Lainey got her first AKC JH pass. Three more to go for the title.

Why was it tough? The judges sat up at a location where they had cut really tall grass. I'm thinking Sudan for hay, and laid it down on the slope. Dogs couldn't see over it or get traction to go over it. Judge commented on her being small. She may be a field lab, but we keep them with height standard for labs and do not believe in breeding them to be pony size. It made me wonder what a Toller would do at a test designed for larger dogs? A junior hunt test should be set up so that a six to twelve month old dog of any retrieving breed can run it safely. I'm getting if my soap box...
