One Sixty One is proud to present the third mural of the development’s public art project. A Caroline Truong original located at 214 S. Friendswood Dr. This mural is a vibrant & whimsical artwork with the intention to help those visiting the Shipley’s drive-thru to start their day in a positive and joyous way!
Caroline is a Vietnamese born artist, a graduate of the University of Houston, and a current Houston resident. She makes eye catching art using vibrant colors, playful designs, and a character called Dream Bird. For more examples of her work, please visit carolinetruongart.com.
Local artist Sara Peters is the project’s art curator and coordinator for the development.
One Sixty One has more mural installations in the planning stages. These murals represent One Sixty One / Banfield Properties’ commitment and vision to bring more art, color, and beauty into the Downtown District. Stay tuned for more public art!
