HOW DOES RETEXTILE WORK?
ReTextile has three main areas of interest: comforting human trafficking victims, making quilts, and using eco-friendly practices.
1) HUMAN TRAFFICKING
The University of Texas at Austin estimates that there are over 300,000 human trafficking victims in Texas. This population remains highly overlooked.
2) QUILTING
Many people know the comfort a blanket can bring. We seek comfort this overlooked and vulnerable group with unique, handmade quilts.
3) ECO-FRIENDLY
We want to be conscious of our environmental impact, so we make all of our quilt tops out of fabric that was going to be thrown away or going unused.
If you want to help us make quilts for human trafficking survivors, DM us or fill out the volunteer interest form on our website (link in bio).

Today we are celebrating ReTextile's 1st birthday! It's hard to believe that ReTextile has been around for one whole year. This year, we've donated several quilts, gotten teens involved in the quilting process, and achieved 501(c)(3) certification!
We're beyond excited to see what comes next! If you aren't involved already, visit our website to join us in building ReTextile and in supporting human trafficking victims in our community.
