Faithbridge Presbyterian
Join us in following Jesus by loving, serving and affirming all people, that they may experience God. Children, young and old, are welcome and honored.
Over the last two weeks, thousands of Presbyterian leaders were gathered in Milwaukee for the 227th General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) — and what they decided matters to all of us here at Faithbridge.
The General Assembly is how our denomination discerns together. It's not one person calling the shots — it's a representative body of ministers and elected church members, shaped by the very Presbyterian idea that authority belongs in community, not in individuals.
This year they're wrestling with questions like: How do we care for God's creation? How do we engage in global missions faithfully? What does justice look like for our neighbors near and far? They've also been taking up topics like AI, Christian nationalism, and a potential new confession of faith.
These aren't abstract issues. They shape how we live out our faith every day — as a congregation and as disciples.
Pastor Lisa Perkins has been watching all of it closely (self-described church nerd, her words). If you want to explore what's been decided and what it means for your faith journey, you can visit http://pcusa.org/ga — or honestly, just come talk to her. She'd love that conversation.
This is what it looks like to be part of something bigger than one congregation. We're glad you're in it with us.

When the world feels heavy, Jesus' invitation remains the same.
Life can leave us weary, overwhelmed, and searching for peace. But Jesus doesn't tell us to carry our burdens alone. Instead, He lovingly says:
"Come to me, all you who are weary and carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest." - Matthew 11:28
No matter what you're facing today, His arms are open. Bring Him your worries, your fears, and your exhaustion. He alone offers the rest your soul has been longing for.
🙏 If this message encouraged you, share it with someone who needs this reminder today.

What looks like stubbornness might actually be wisdom.
Sometimes the closed door, the delayed plan, or the interrupted moment isn't God blocking you.
It's God protecting you.
Our culture says never stop. Keep pushing. Hustle harder.
But what if pausing is exactly what faith looks like?
From Numbers 22, even a donkey knew when to stop.
