Some days are forever etched into the hearts of those who wear the badge.

July 7, 2016, is one of those days.

Today, we pause to remember the five courageous law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice during the attack in downtown Dallas:

🖤 Senior Corporal Lorne Ahrens – Dallas Police Department
🖤 Officer Michael Krol – Dallas Police Department
🖤 Sergeant Michael J. Smith – Dallas Police Department
🖤 Officer Patrick Zamarripa – Dallas Police Department
🖤 Officer Brent Thompson – DART Police Department

Their selfless service and unwavering courage will never be forgotten.

We also continue to keep in our thoughts the officers who were wounded, the families forever changed by that day, and every member of the law enforcement community who carries its memory.

May we always honor their sacrifice by remembering their names and never forgetting the price they paid in service to others.

🚨F.T.O. SERIES BRIEFING🚨
WATCH YOUR SIX: SCAMMERS WEAR UNIFORMS TOO.
Welcome to this week's Financial Training Officer briefing. Today’s threat is internal: "Affinity Fraud."

Scammers know first responders trust the "brotherhood." They exploit this by using shared language and backgrounds to lower your guard.

The Tactical Error: Trusting an investment pitch just because it comes from a fellow officer, veteran, or "supporter." Con artists use this trust to peddle high-yield, "guaranteed" schemes that are often Ponzi scams.

Never invest based on a handshake at a BBQ. Always verify credentials and demand documentation. Trust, but verify.
