On Good Friday we remember the greatest love story ever told and the greatest love ever shown, when Jesus Christ gave His life for us. He paid the debt we owed, took the punishment for our sins upon himself and purchased our eternal life.

Beaten beyond recognition, blood pouring out, nailed to that old rugged cross, He said the words “It Is Finished.” But death was not the end….

🚨 “I was ready to end it all. I was going to take my own life, but that night God miraculously intervened.”

Sorry in advance for the long-ish post, this subject means a lot to me.

Our first Real Hope Reel focuses on Self-Worth. As someone who has battled depression and su***de, I know all too well the attacks and lies the enemy speaks to attack our identity and value. A lot of time and energy was wasted on constantly striving for acceptance and by looking for validation in all the wrong places.

Ultimately it led me to a place at the bottom of the pit, because I allowed myself to become convinced my life meant nothing and that I was worthless. So much so that one night I had enough. I was ready to end it all. I was going to take my own life, but that night God miraculously intervened.

So I’m here to tell you, that if you find yourself struggling with your self worth. If you have been trying everything to be accepted. If have been crippled by fear to go after your calling because you are constantly comparing yourself to others. Say enough is enough.

Christ paid it all for you. You are more valuable to Him than you will ever know. Find your value in Him, and believe what God has spoken over you. Stop striving and start trusting. You were created for a purpose, so don’t let the enemy rob you and the lives of those you are supposed to impact, of that.
