Able Forces Foundation

Tomorrow is Giving Tuesday and if you will be considering a donation to a worthy non-profit this Holiday Season, I would ask you to coniser Able Forces Foundation. We are a small, 501(c)(3) non-profit charity located in the northern Shenandoah Valley (Front Royal). Our mission is to provide immediate financial assiatance to military and veterans and their families in crisis. In addition to continuing this part of our mission, during the Christmas holidays we solicit donations for our 15th Annual Adopt A Warrior Family For Christmas program in the Washington DC, Virginia, Maryland area.

This is our only formal program that we request donations during the year. If you can assist, any amount will assist. I work closely with a Catholic Nun for many years from Phillipines who' Mission was to take care of the street children San Fernando Phillipines. As she collexcted donations to build a Home for these children, she would always say "one dollar at a time". We believe the same. We take care of our families in need "one dollar at a time".

For our 15th year, we will once again be supporting military and veteran families with financial assistance during the holiday season. We continue to partner with Advocates from Quantico Marine Corps Base, Fort Belvoir, Walter Reed Medical Center, Martinsburg VAMC, Washington DC VAMC, the Virginia Department of Veterans Affairs, and many local military and veteran non-profit organizations to ensure these families, who might otherwise face a very difficult holiday season, receive the support they need.

I received a call from one of my Advocates at the Department of Veteran Services here in Front Royal regarding a veteran in need of transportation.

The veteran is a Front Royal resident with an audiology appointment at the Wi******er VA Medical Clinic. The appointment is this upcoming Monday October 6th at 1:30PM.

If you are able to provide transportation to this veteran, please call or text me at 703.220.1822.

Join us for a ride to support veteran and military families that have lost their homes and livelihood as a result of the floods and Kerr county Texas. All our welcome; riders, clubs, supporters, and donations. Thank you all for consideration.

On behalf of Kathy and I, Able Forces Foundation wishes to thank the incredible response to this weekend'sMemorial Day Remembrance events. I can't tell you how incredibly proud I am of the community support we received. I am so pleased with Jim Justice and the Chester street tavern, all of the incredible music and musicians that were with us, as well as support from a large number of social service, veteran and community vendors and exhibitors who made the day and wonderful. We look forward to next year and expanding our community involvement.
