This is probably the simplest rig to use for Milky Way and meteor photography. I wanted a wider angle lens, but I don't think my AllSky lens will plumb on to this imager...it is actually intended for planetary imaging, but it works well enough for this purpose.

I have lots of clouds tonight, but the Perseids are peaking this weekend, so...I *have* to try, right?

So far, I have just over 100 15 second exposures and my laptop has plenty of gas left in the tank. I am hoping to get out again tomorrow and Monday night.

Well....this isn't horrible for a single exposure. It does tell me that this location is far from ideal for unguided astrophotography. I knew that already and...I have another location that should produce a good image. I have two nights that seem to be appropriate to gather some data.

Tonight was me getting my technique sussed out a bit more. I have some more data to work with and.. Mark Sandoval -- I have Sequator downloaded for stacking. For anyone interested, this site is A.S. Rhodes Elementary School, where I attended first and second grade.
