Executive Director Christa Shifflett and Deputy Director Celeste Brooks attended the CADCA Mid Year Training Institute in Orlando, Florida last week! This year's event was combined with the DEA's Fentanyl Free America Summit. Christa and Celeste participated in sessions about emerging drug trends and engaging youth in prevention work, and sessions centering on resilience and purpose. They also participated in the FFA Summit's walk/run on Tuesday morning. Thank you Prevention and Wellness Services for making the trip possible!

All three Front Royal recovery houses operated by the Warren Coalition became Certified Recovery Residences last week. Legislation passed in July 2025 requires recovery homes to be accredited through the Virginia Association of Recovery Residences (VARR) in order to receive funding to support recovery housing, explained Christa Shifflett, executive director of the Coalition.
