Morning 4 post my brain appears to be functioning enough to get this up… To my crew: THANK YOU. I don’t think it’s possible to comprehend all that crewing these extra long events entails, until you’re in it. I certainly didn’t understand ahead of Cocodona. It is not the bottle exchanges and pack swaps of 100milers. It was only when we were in the depths of it did I vaguely understand what was happening. You lose all brain capacity or any rational line of thinking out there. I literally reverted to a childlike state and my crew kept me moving forward in all senses. I can’t imagine what i was like to deal with out there and the mind tricks, swapping of perspectives as I complained about things, said I was tired…. “Nope, you’re good! Here we go!” Again, it’s hard to describe here the mind games that needed to be executed out there and my team was flawless. Each of these incredible humans deserves their own post, which maybe i will when I can sort words better 😹, but Wattie, Biffster, Luke, Devon, Mom and Byron… THANK YOU. As well as the Lupo’s for watching my girls🐶🐶 and bringing them all the way to Flagstaff from Tucson to surprise me! I only made it to that finish line bc of this team and I will forever be indebted to you. THANK YOU❤️
