Attention CSUF students:

MEChA de CSUF is having an emergency bone marrow drive (Tuesday-Thursday) December 6-8, 2011 from 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. They will be having the bone marrow drive at three different locations: the CSUF Main Quad-Northwest corner (by the Library), Humanities Quad, and the Piazza (where the dorms are located). They are trying to find a bone marrow donor match for Camila Gonzalez, 4 year old daughter of Alejandro and Carolyn Gonzalez, Cal State Fullerton alumni.

Please come out and help them find a donor, it could be YOU! It doesn't take much to come out and help. All yall would need to do is get your cheeks swabbed and from here you would be put into the registry for bone marrow donors. If matched with a person, you can donate through blood donation or pelvic bone marrow donation, administered under anesthesia.

Help spread the word! Invite everyone you know and help Camila get a second chance at life.

Attention CSUF students:

The Volunteer & Service Center would like to invite you to attend our annual Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week events which will be held from November 14th-November 16th. Hunger & Homelessness is a week-long event that raises awareness about the homeless population and those living in poverty.

The event will kick-off with an Exhibit Day at the Titan Quad on November 14th, from 10:00am – 4:00pm. During this time, stories and statistics will be displayed regarding the hungry and homeless. Please come check it out!

We still need some volunteers to help with the event anytime between 7:00am-5:00pm. Please email us at [email protected] with the time you are available if you are interested in volunteering.

The event will conclude with a powerful Open Mic Night in the TSU Garden Café on November 16th, from 7:00pm-10:00pm. This event will consist of spoken word, poetry, song, and musical performances. We are still accepting applications if you are interested in performing. This is a great opportunity to showcase your talent!

We invite you to come out and show support for a great cause! Learn how you can make a difference in the lives of those living in poverty.
