Ezekiel 16 God reminds Israel how He gave the life, prosperity, raised them, provided, entered into covenant with them, washed them and anointed them to make them beautiful, but they trusted in their blessings and gave their worship to idols. This provoked His judgment but He remembered His covenant.

Ezekiel 14 Some elders acted like they were seeking God’s counsel, but God saw through to their idolatrous hearts. He called them to repent or He would make an example out of them with their punishment.

Ezekiel 12 God told Ezekiel to publicly display a drama so that Jerusalem would be warned of the coming exile, siege, and oppression. They invented a proverb to dismiss the impending punishment. God told them He had enough and He would delay His judgment no longer.

Ezekiel 11 God promised judgement for the evil leaders because He knew even their thoughts. But He promised restoration for His people; that He would give them new hearts of flesh to replace their hearts of stone. God wants us to know that He alone is the LORD.
