Come See the Smallest Restroom in the World!!!
Okay, maybe not the world’s smallest, but we’ve received a few comments over the years about the size of our bathrooms.
The El Rancho was built in 1942, when hotel bathrooms were much smaller than what travelers expect today. While we’d love to make them larger, the room sizes and original floor plan of this historic building don’t leave us much room to expand without dramatically changing the hotel itself.
It’s one of the tradeoffs of staying in a piece of Route 66 history. For over 80 years, these rooms have welcomed movie stars, road trippers, and guests from around the world.
The bathrooms may be cozy, but they’re part of the story.
What do you think: charming or cramped?
