Fleet Support: Ford Transit Delivery Van đŚâĄ
When a delivery van goes down, itâs costing money every hour it sits. This Amazon Transit van had an overheating issue, so I headed down to the hub to diagnose and knock it out right where it was parked.
It wasn't just a dead fan motor. The cooling fan assembly had failed, and when those high-draw motors lock up, they tend to take the wiring with them. Sure enough, pulling the plug revealed a completely burnt fan connector on the harness side.
Fixing the Cause, Not Just the Symptom
If you just slap a new fan assembly onto a melted plug, youâre looking at high resistance, a melted shroud, and a comeback job within a week.
The Fan: Pulled the front apart and swapped out the failed assembly.
The Electrical: Cut back the compromised wire, spliced in a new heavy-duty pigtail connector on the vehicle harness side, and pinned it correctly to handle the current.
Tested, verified, and ready to get back on the route without ever needing a tow truck to leave the hub.
No shortcuts, just proper electrical repair brought straight to the fleet line.

Curbside Diagnostics: 2003 GMC Yukon XL đ ď¸
If youâve been following my posts lately, you know Iâm actively winding down these massive, heavy-duty jobs to save some wear and tear on my body. But this one had been on the backburner for a month, and it was time to hit the driveway and knock it out.
The culprit? A classic GM failure: a heavily leaking rear main seal plate and a completely shot oil pan gasket.
To get this done efficiently on-siteâand to make sure I could still walk the next dayâthis turned into a solid two-man job. We dropped the Y-pipe, backed out the transmission, pulled the flexplate, and swapped out the leaking components properly right there in the driveway.
Leaving the Workspace Cleaner Than We Found It
Doing heavy repair as a mobile tech means respecting the customer's property. An oil leak like this leaves a nasty blueprint on a home driveway. Part of the service means leaving the space better than we found it, so we finished the day by deep cleaning their concreteâscrubbing away the tiny mess we made and the old stains the truck had been dripping for months.
Honest work, zero shortcuts, and a spotless driveway to prove it.
Need real diagnostics and straightforward repair brought straight to your door? You know where to find us.

đ ď¸ The Ranger Refresh: Round 2
You might recognize these red shocksâwe installed those on-site at the customerâs house a few weeks ago. But during that visit, the "blunt truth" was clear: the control arms were shot.
Those old bushings (swipe to see the dry-rot) were completely finished. While we love doing mobile repairs, fighting torsion bars and control arms on the ground is a battle thatâs better fought with a hoist. To ensure the best leverage and a perfect install, we moved this phase of the project to the shop.
The Strategy:
Phase 1: Mobile shock replacement for immediate ride improvement.
Phase 2: Shop-assisted control arm overhaul for long-term safety and handling.
The end result is exactly the same Vector-standard quality, just a much more manageable process. This Ranger is finally back to a tight, quiet front end.
Whether itâs a quick fix in your driveway or a heavy-duty suspension overhaul, we make sure the job is handled the right way.
đŠ DM us to get your suspension inspected or to book a detail!

đ It Looks Clean... But Does It Feel Clean? đ§˝
We originally came out to this Toyota Corolla Cross for a professional engine detail, but we ended up adding a standard wash to get the exterior matching that factory-fresh engine bay.
While the silver paint looks slick in the photos, the "hand test" tells a different story. The panels have heavy paint contaminationâthey feel like sandpaper instead of glass. Thatâs embedded iron and environmental grit that a regular wash just canât touch.
The "Vector" Game Plan:
Even though the car is shiny and protected for now, I talked to the owner about a Stage 2 Deep Clean. We need to go beyond the surface with:
Chemical Iron Removal: Dissolving the metal particles stuck in the clear coat.
Clay Bar Treatment: Safely "shaving" off the remaining grit to restore that smooth-as-glass feel.
The Goal:
Once we do a full "Reset" with a Stage 2 detail, the car is perfectly prepped for our bi-weekly maintenance schedule. Itâs much easier (and cheaper) to keep a smooth car clean than it is to scrub a rough one!
Does your paint feel like texture? That's your clear coat asking for help.
đŠ DM us to book your Engine "Reset" or a Stage 2 Paint Decontamination!

đ Tired of "Subpar" Results? Experience the V***r Difference.
Believe it or not, the "before" photo in this post was taken after a traditional polish. As you can see, it still looked dull and hazy. Traditional sanding and buffing can only go so far.
We stepped in with our Professional Chemical V***r Restoration to show whatâs actually possible. đ§Şâ¨
The Difference:
Unlike standard polishing that just smooths the surface, our chemical nebulizer system creates a molecular bond with the lens. It melts the top layer into a perfectly smooth, factory-clear finish that traditional pads and polish simply can't match.
Clearer than Polish: Restores 100% optical clarity.
Tougher Protection: Creates a permanent chemical seal against UV rays.
Better Safety: Maximum light throw for night driving.
If youâve had your headlights "restored" before and weren't happy with the results, itâs time for a professional upgrade.

đ ď¸ Mini Problems, Major Solutions.
Mini Coopers are famous for their "go-kart" handling, but theyâre also famous for developing some pretty serious leaks as they age. đ
We recently tackled a double-whammy on this one:
Oil Filter Housing Leak: The source of a messy oil and coolant mix.
Oil Pan Gasket: Sealing up the bottom end to keep the driveway clean.
Between the coolant from the cooler and the oil from the pan, this engine bay was a disaster waiting to happen. To do this job right, you have to get deep into the assemblyâitâs a lot of labor in a very small space.
The Result: A bone-dry engine, fresh fluids, and a car thatâs back to being a reliable daily driver.
Why choose mobile service for big jobs like this?
You get dealership-level expertise and ASE-certified repairs without having to leave your car at a shop for three days. We bring the shop to you.

đ Random Stalling? It Might Not Be What You Think.
We just finished up on this Dodge Journey, and itâs a perfect example of how a simple leak can turn into a major headache.
This car was experiencing random stalling, which is one of the most frustrating (and dangerous) things to deal with while driving. The culprit? A leaking valve cover gasket.
The oil wasn't just making a messâit was leaking directly onto the crank position sensor. We had to replace that sensor recently due to oil saturation, but until the leak was fixed, it was only a matter of time before it happened again.
The Breakdown:
The Leak: Valve cover gasket was failing.
The Damage: Oil saturated the electrical connectors and sensors.
The Result: Random stalling and a car that you can't trust.
We got the new gasket installed, the oil changed, and most importantly, we stopped the oil from killing any more expensive electronics.
If your car is stalling or you see oil where it shouldn't be, don't wait for it to leave you stranded in an intersection.
đŠ DM us to get it diagnosed and fixed right the first time.

The panel-by-panel paint correction plan.
Not every car needs to be an all-or-nothing project. This customer wanted to improve their carâs paint (swipe to see how badly it needed work), but a full correction wasn't in the budget.
So we created a custom, step-by-step plan: schedule repeat washes, and perform a paint correction on one panel per visit.
This approach is convenient for the customer (managing cost) and for me (managing the workload), while showing exactly what level of results are achievable over time. Iâm currently live-testing my Vector Chem-Logic products on this project to monitor their quality and consistency.
And because Iâm an ASE-certified mechanic since 2004, we also addressed the failing motor mount (last photo). This is where Vector Autoworks goes beyond vehicle repair and detailingâwe integrate the two.

⨠The "Secret" to a Showroom Shine (Without the Showroom Price)
These two cars might look like they just had an 8-hour deep detail, but this was actually just a quick, routine maintenance wash.
How? Because they stay on a consistent bi-weekly schedule.
Most people wait until their car is "dirty enough" to call a detailer. By then, contaminants have already started bonding to your paint and stains are setting into your interior. We prefer a different approach that keeps your car in top shape year-round.
Our "Forever Fresh" Strategy:
The Reset: We start with a full Interior & Exterior detail to get the vehicle back to a "like-new" baseline.
The Foundation: We apply professional-grade protection to the surfaces during that first visit.
The Maintenance: We see you every two weeks for a quick, affordable upkeep wash to keep that protection topped off and the shine dialed in.
This bi-weekly rhythm is the most cost-effective way to protect your investment and ensure you never have to drive a dirty car again.
Want to get your vehicle on a "Forever Fresh" plan?
