We recently partnered with the Greenville Police Department and SLED’s Human Trafficking Unit for a training and undercover operation in South Carolina.
This effort focused on identifying individuals attempting to engage in s*xual activity with minors and taking action before more harm could be done.
The results:
11 arrests.
37 warrants issued.
3 ICE detainers.
1 parole violation.
Additional charges are still pending as the investigation continues.
Operations like this are the result of preparation, coordination, and a shared commitment to confronting exploitation and trafficking head-on. We’re grateful for the partnership and leadership of the Greenville Police Department and SLED in executing this operation.
This is what it looks like when agencies work together and take action.

🚨 5 ARRESTED • 24 FELONY CHARGES IN ALABAMA CHILD EXPLOITATION AND TRAFFICKING OPERATION 🚨
Five individuals were arrested and 24 felony charges were filed, including 12 counts of Human Trafficking in the First Degree, following an undercover child exploitation and trafficking operation in Wedowee, Alabama last week.
The operation targeted individuals who used online platforms to communicate with what they believed were minors before arranging to meet in person.
Each suspect traveled expecting to meet a minor for s*xual activity and was taken into custody upon arrival.
Additional charges include Electronic Solicitation of a Child and Traveling to Meet a Child for an Unlawful S*x Act.
This operation was conducted by the Wedowee Police Department with assistance from the Randolph County Sheriff's Office, Chambers County Sheriff's Office, Cleburne County Sheriff's Office, Wadley Police Department, prosecutors from the Alabama 5th Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office, and Covenant Rescue Group.
Operations like this are an important part of protecting children and identifying individuals who attempt to exploit or traffic minors through online platforms.
We remain committed to supporting law enforcement agencies in their efforts to combat child exploitation and human trafficking.
The only way to stop this evil is to face it head on.
