So here is the first of many leather solutions aimed at keeping wandering trousers from exposing the goods! Note: I used a scrap piece of leather for this project so ignore the obvious defects....

OK internet, I need your feedback. I am creating leather Christmas tree ornament kits. The kit would include pre cut and punched leather, thread, and needles. My question is

1 - Does it look better with a red border or without?
2 - should I stain the leather or leave it tan?
3 - should I use small holes that are less obvious but a little more difficult to stitch, or larger holes that are more obvious but easier to stitch?

My goal is for parents to buy these and have their kids make them for teachers or relatives. Or sell them to anyone wanting to make a small gift while learning basic hand stitching.

I have been quite busy the last few weeks solving world problems with leather! Unfortunately my social media has suffered. So here are a few projects I have been working on.

I found an old ratty piece of scrap leather and an elk antler tip that I turned into a fabulous Mason jar mug with handle.

Just finished this custom tea up holster for a customer.

Just finished another dice bag where I hand-dyed the brown middle piece of leather. Do you like the black or brown bag better?
