Throughout the month of June, you may see Garner Fire-Rescue personnel conducting annual fire hydrant testing throughout the community. This important testing helps ensure hydrants are operating properly and ready to provide reliable water supply when needed for emergency response.

To minimize inconvenience to residents, we make every effort to conduct testing during daytime hours on weekdays. During this process, some residents may notice temporary water discoloration. If this occurs, it is typically short-lived and should clear quickly as the water system returns to normal.

We anticipate completing our annual hydrant testing by the end of June and appreciate your patience and understanding during this important public safety initiative. Thank you for helping us keep Garner safe and prepared for the citizens, businesses, and visitors we proudly serve.

Congratulations to out newest Firefighter 1st Class, Connor Hickman. 1st Class has been the agency for 3 years and has shown the KSA’s that it takes to take the next step in his career. Help us in congratulating 1st Class Hickman on this achievement.
