Charge and dispose of lithium ion batteries properly!!!

Lithium-ion batteries power many of the rechargeable devices we use every day such as phones, laptops, smart watches and electric scooters. These batteries don’t belong in the trash or recycling. They can spark dangerous fires at facilities and in trucks. Always take them to a designated drop-off location.

Garner Fire Rescue

To prepare for Garner's Independence Day Celebration, the following closures will be in effect on Friday, July 3:

🚧 From 5:00 p.m. – approximately 11:45 p.m., Buffaloe Road will be closed between Aversboro Road and U.S. Highway 50 to through traffic. Police officers will be stationed at each end of the closure to allow residents and their guests access to their neighborhoods.

🚧 Beginning at approximately 8:45 p.m., Aversboro Road will be closed to southbound traffic from Lake Benson Park to Timber Drive to help manage traffic after the event. Residents who live along Aversboro Road should use northbound Aversboro Road (toward Timber Drive) to reach their homes until approximately 11:45 p.m.

🌳 Lake Benson Park will be closed to all vehicles and pedestrians until the gates open at 5:00 p.m. for the event.

🌳 White Deer Park will be closed all day on July 3, including the splash pad, to both vehicles and pedestrians.
