Dip Script and Watercolor

Fun fact about this painting is it was the last one I finished up before Christmas last year- just in time to be gifted.

When my cousin, who is a realtor, asked me a few years ago if I could paint houses on wood slices as ornaments, I had no clue just how many I’d end up painting over the next few years. I’ve painted hundreds of these now. Being able to start and complete a project in one day is very satisfying when many of my larger watercolor pieces take days and occasionally weeks to finish up. Orders for these are just what I need when I’m looking to feel accomplished 🙃

Kinda fun painting the same thing and tweaking parts of it.

Got an Etsy order for these two over the holidays…. Inquiring minds would like to know if this snowy cabin was purchased together by two families or what other explanation there is for two family names.

And yes, I do have an Etsy but everything is cheaper direct through my website 😉

My signature “House Ornaments” do not need to be limited to your home as the subject. This one celebrated a couples first trip.

I leave up my ornament listing year round in hopes that the planners and proactive peeps will order these as they come to mind and Christmas isn’t absolute chaos. These don’t need to only be gifted at Christmas, though. They’re a thoughtful gift any time of year :).
