James for GISD

I am excited to have filed to rerun for Place 1 on the Georgetown ISD School Board and hope to continue to serve this community as a trustee for the next 3 years.

During the past 3 years I have and currently serve as Board President, served as Board Vice President, and as a member of Land Committee, Curriculum Council, and the Literacy Task Force. A few of our accomplishments I am proud of include:

Hiring our current Superintendent Dr. Padavil.
Increasing teacher/staff compensation each year.
Narrowing the budget deficit which has in part been created by unfunded mandates.
Passing all bonds with a 60%+ vote in 2024.
Opening 3 new campuses with 3 more under construction.
Setting unified board goals.
Aligning our governance calendar with the business cycle of the district.
Establishing Legislative Priorities for the district that represents a unified voice from the classroom to the boardroom.
Establishing committees, councils and task forces which are resulting in increased community engagement, more transparency, increased oversight and improved governance.

Easiest vote I have ever made 100% sure I am the right person for this position, please get out and vote for me.

I worked a 10 hour day, delivered 14 yard signs, participated in a hour and a half candidate forum and still found the 3 minutes it took to vote. No excuses!
