Honey Tree Farm

An update on Patty, our registered Mini Hereford heifer, that calved a stillbirth late August 2025 & just has not rebound. We attributed her limping and being sluggish to possibly nerve damage. We tried a muscle relaxer and vitamins, rubbings, as well as isolation to avoid additional risks. Our vet made two farm visits. We hauled her to Harrison County vet for hoof trimming and assessment.

Yesterday we brought an equine vet to the farm to perform chiropractic and acupuncture treatments. Patty seems to have improved. Time will tell and we’re hopeful.

Tis the season… “apple butter” season❣️ First year to have (4) pots going at once. Added mama’s crockpot to move along this long process - 12-18 hours. 🥰 Tomorrow when I add all the spices to cook down another six hours, my kitchen will smell so delicious! Look for jars to be available for sale. They make a wonderful hostess gift, stocking stuffer and addition to your holiday gatherings. Yum!!
