Movement Modalities
12 hrs
OVERVIEW
Students will learn how the nervous system responds to four different movement related massage techniques: passive, active, active assisted, and active assisted resisted techniques.
By incorporating different movement massage techniques, students will be able to identify common physiological traits between different movement modalities, why they work in practice, how and when to use specific techniques.
GOALS
1. Students will increase their understanding of the nervous system and how neural re-education techniques work.
2. Students will add additional techniques and understanding of when and where to apply re-education to their massage therapy sessions.
SPECIFICATIONS
Demonstrations and trades will be done while lying on the floor, being rocked on a table, being moved through range of motion as well as in a seated position.
Lecture will be a review of neuro proprioceptors and how neural re-education techniques might work in clinical practice.

I expect to get back to classes in Summer of 2021. Thanks for the interest. We will be starting to do classes in the Austin Tx. area as well. ;)

I am transitioning to 36hr (3 weekends) workshops
so I can better focus on training, as opposed to just filling ceu requirements. Expect to see a fresh batch of actual learning opportunities in the coming year. Such as "TMJ/Cranial Sacral/Sub-Occipitals" where I can teach a broader palate of approaches. "Tools, Tools and more Tools" or "Movement Modalities".
Classes will be $600 in 3-$200 payments OR $500 if paid in advance.
