The Uptown Social

8 years ago we brought the final bits of equipment up that slow elevator to open The Uptown Social. Now, 8 years later, with a heavy heart, I must announce that our doors have closed for good.

My apologies for the short notice, but due to a litany of issues, the decision to close had to be made rather quickly and Christmas Stroll Saturday was our last day of business. This time, for once, the rumors (some of them at least) are actually true.

Thank you everyone that made it out Saturday Night. Thank you Georgetown for the 8 years of fun and memories. A big thanks to our dedicated customers and regulars, y’all were like family and I’m sure we’ll be seeing each other again. Most of all, I’d like to thank my dedicated staff for their years of hard work and service, without them these last eight years would have been impossible.

Looking for a fun new job? The Uptown Social is hiring for multiple positions as we gear up for the summer season. We are an established rooftop patio bar and lounge located just off the square in downtown Georgetown TX.

We have a fast paced, yet relaxed work environment that features full liquor service and specialty cocktails as well as an extensive beer and wine selection. We serve hand tossed NY style pizzas and scaled up bar fare.

Applicants should be at least 18 years of age and must have a valid TABC license and food handlers certification for consideration. No prior experience is necessary.
