You need to follow Sid Miller to get your lessons on Texas. One comment on pronouncing Mexia ...

That is like the town of Mexia pronounced Me Haia .There was two guys driving across Texas and came to Mexia. One of them pronounced it like it sounds and the other one told him it Me Haia. They argued about it so finally pulled into a drive in restaurant. They told the waitress to very slowly tell them where they were. She said very slowly Dai ry Queen.

Or Mexia! Refugio! What are some other Texas towns that people butcher when trying to pronounce them?

Since the HD52 primary, Caroline Harris has been carrying the banner as the Republican nominee for State Rep HD52 and running as hard in the general election as she did in the primary. I'm happy to endorse her and look forward to voting for her on first day of early voting.

I'm very much looking forward to voting for all Republicans from Gov Abbott and statewide leaders, Caroline Harris and the local Republicans, to keep Wilco and Texas red. Not just because Biden, Beto and Democrats deserve a shellacking. They do. But also for the reasons that motivated me to jump in to run for HD52 state rep a year ago: We need to stand up for parents in education; we need to give taxpayers property tax relief; we need to support our law enforcement and keep communities safe; and much more. I'm pleased Gov Abbott and state leaders have these items on their agenda. Caroline Harris as a fellow conservative will be helping advance these key priorities, so I have high hopes for her in being a great rep for HD52.

P.S. GO VOTE. Early voting starts next Monday!

Happy Independence Day!

Almost 250 years ago, those who fought to make the United States an independent nation had no idea their efforts would succeed. Many signers of the declaration of independence suffered great sacrifices and even were killed in the revolutionary war before they could see the United States win her independence.

The United States was worth fighting for then, and the United States is worth celebrating now. I hope you have an enjoyable Fourth of July.
