This Black History Month, I’m reflecting on the strategic courage of Rosa Parks. In 1955, she wasn't just a passenger on a bus; she was a pioneer for the Voting Rights Act. She understood that progress isn’t something that just happens, it’s something we have to demand.

In Texas District 31, we are feeling the weight of the current system. From the grocery store to the doctor’s office. Our history teaches us that when the system tries to rob us of our voice and our resources, we must respond with action.
Honoring Black history means protecting the future of our democracy. Let’s carry that torch to the polls. Early voting starts soon! Make your plan today to ensure your voice is counted.
