There’s something really special about getting to see a performer share music in a more personal setting, and that’s exactly what Rhyme or Reason with Mina James will be.

Mina will be performing a cabaret-style show with songs and spoken moments woven together throughout the evening. It’s part music, part storytelling, and part celebration of the work she’s been putting into her performance journey.

Mina attends Belmont in Tennessee and will be heading to the Open Jar Institute Summer Intensive, an opportunity that gives young performers the chance to train, grow, and learn in a professional musical theatre environment.

Tickets are $10, with proceeds helping Mina with travel expenses.

Join us at Georgetown Underground on June 12 or June 13 from 7:30 to 8:30 PM for a night of music, stories, and community support.

Come by for Happy Hour and Songwriter Round tonight!!

Today’s the day to be .underground for Songwriter Round hosted by myself and my twin, ! Music starts at 6:00!

Hump Day Happy Hour is coming up on Wednesday, June 10, and we’ve got Shanghai Express joining us!

Shanghai Express is an acoustic group from Georgetown, KY, known for playing a wide variety of songs. Their set brings together 70s pop and rock favorites, classic country, and a little bluegrass mixed in, so it’s the kind of music that feels easy to enjoy whether you’re stopping in for a drink, browsing records, or settling in for the whole set.

Happy Hour runs from 4 to 7 PM with $1 off beer, and live music will be from to 6-8 PM.

Come spend a midweek evening with cold beer, local music, and the hometown record shop vibe.

We missed one of our dates in the last post. We will be at Georgetown Underground on Wednesday Jun 10 at 5pm. Happy Hour starts at 4pm. A cool spot if you haven’t been yet. Used records/CDs/tapes, guitars, skateboards.

Join us for Songwriter Round at the Underground 🎶🍻 An intimate night of original music, storytelling, and local talent hosted by Mo Bell and Jason Kyle Smith, with special guests James Beers and Todd Slusher.

Jason Kyle Smith brings the heart of Appalachia to every stage he steps on, blending honest, heartfelt storytelling with deep roots in folk, country, and Americana. Mo Bell brings a mix of Blues, R&B, and Rock & Roll inspired by the records, radio, and cassette tapes of the ’80s and ’90s. James Beers brings an alt-country and blues storytelling style, shaped by his late-start journey into guitar and songwriting from the cornfields of Indiana. Todd Slusher shares original music influenced by legends like John Prine, Jerry Jeff Walker, and Billy Joe Shaver.

Come grab a beer, settle in, and enjoy songs with stories behind them.
