Last Dance is one of my favorite dahlias for growers who are just starting out or have been looking for an “all in one” tuber for next year.

They bloom in the heat, our summers are hot and humid every year, most varieties shut down bloom production completely in July and August. These slow down, but they keep blooming.

They are great tuber producers. You will easily increase your crop for the following year. Plus, the tubers are easy to divide and store well. They don’t require as much attention as other varieties.

If you have tried Last Dance yet, go for it this season. You won’t be disappointed.

The June garden has a beautiful mix of spring flowers that start to fade as soon as it gets hot. Many people call these “wild flowers.”

They do have a wild natural look to them.

Most are planted in the fall and late winter. These were never covered with frost cloth or grown under a tunnel. They naturally bloom in mid May thru June, around the same time as Peonies begin and Roses have their first flush.

We will have them for a few more weeks. 💐

Then it’s time for LISIANTHUS and DAHLIAS!
