Aging infrastructure doesn't always require immediate replacement.
When severe corrosion threatened the structural framework supporting ammonia condensers at a client facility, we developed a phased rehabilitation plan that restored structural capacity while allowing the existing equipment to remain in service.
From structural analysis and scan-based modeling to temporary shoring and construction-ready documentation, the project provided a practical path forward—extending asset life while supporting future capital planning.

Small issues rarely stay small.
What begins as a capacity constraint, structural concern, or process bottleneck can quickly become a costly disruption if left unaddressed.
The earlier challenges are identified, the more options teams have to solve them efficiently.
At Chief Engineering, we help clients uncover risks before they impact schedules, budgets, or operations.

Utility systems only work when they’re designed to keep up with production demands.
At a facility, an aging compressed air system was upgraded with a new high-efficiency dual-compressor setup designed to improve reliability and support future operations.
Using 3D laser scanning and coordinated layout modeling, the project team developed a constructible design for integrating new compressors, dryers, piping, and support equipment within a constrained existing space.

Chemical facility assessments are about more than compliance—they’re about understanding how systems perform under real operating conditions.
From process flow and equipment layout to structural considerations and safety risks, we evaluate the details that impact reliability, efficiency, and long-term performance.
The right assessment doesn’t just identify issues—it creates a clearer path forward.

Structural engineering is about more than what gets built—it’s about what gets prevented.
The right structural approach helps eliminate costly rework, reduce field conflicts, and protect the integrity of a project long before issues ever surface on-site.
At Chief Engineering, we focus on building clarity into every phase so projects move forward with confidence.

At a chemical facility, a legacy pneumatic unloading system handling anhydrous aluminum chloride was redesigned into a gravity-fed operation to improve throughput, reduce maintenance, and minimize operational risk. The project combined platform design, dust collection, ventilation, and structural redesign—all within a highly space-constrained environment with strict safety and environmental requirements.
Industrial upgrades aren’t just about adding equipment. They’re about engineering systems that work better long term. Read the full case study here: https://www.chiefengineering.us/gravity-fed-bulk-solids-unloading-system-and-industrial-platform-design/

Engineering support doesn’t stop at the drawing board.
The best projects require more than plans—they require coordination, problem-solving, field awareness, and partners who understand how decisions impact ex*****on in the real world.
At Chief Engineering, we support projects from early planning through implementation to help teams move forward with clarity and confidence.

Efficiency isn’t just about adding equipment, it’s about designing the right system around it.
At a Manufacturing Company facility, a new container tipper system was engineered to streamline loading operations. But the real impact came through redesign—optimizing layouts and structures to reduce material and installation costs while maintaining performance.
The result: a smarter, more cost-effective system built for long-term efficiency.
