We’ve received word that Adams County plans to write a letter of recommendation to the PA Broadband Development Authority for the distribution of all allocated government grant funds to Comcast.

When talks of a broadband task force started, the County decided they wanted to keep things local. They didn’t want to help create a monopoly by any ISP, in order for consumers to obtain affordable Internet.

We feel that the County writing a letter of recommendation in favor of Comcast is going to magnify the unfair Internet market, which will in turn make reaching the underserved and unserved much more difficult.

Our hope is that this post spreads, and that you’ll be more informed about what’s going on. We recommend contacting the County commissioners to inform them of what you (the consumer) would like Internet in Adams County to look like.

Adam Electric is out at 2 towers and main data center too. ETA from them is 12-4 today. The battery are running, working on getting generator on sites

We need some help!
We’re looking for a point of contact on Bear Mountain. Our goal is to put a tower up on top of the mountain to beam down the other side of it. We would love to talk to anybody from the community and property owners that would welcome one of our towers as a relay point.
This tower would also give us access to start building the Internet infrastructure for Bear Mountain!

Setup a new customer on Quaker Run Rd in Aspers. Speeds hitting 150/150mb. They came from 5mb dsl.
