Victorian Photography Studio
That’s a wrap for our travel season, and for in general.
The Gettysburg location is closed, and we are no longer at 76 Steinwehr. There is opportunity for a potential buyer to revive Victorian Photography Studio in a new location if someone is interested!
For now, you can follow Dave at , and Brandon at

Could not have asked for a better day to shoot tintypes for this lovely couple’s wedding.
A small, intimate ceremony in a gorgeous cemetery, paired with wonderful light and even more wonderful clients made this one of my favorite shoots all year

Studio Update:
Two weeks ago I went down to Gettysburg on a Wednesday to start moving everything out of the studio. That day I found out from the landlord that the building was under contract and would sell shortly, and I needed to be out ASAP. Thanks to some fantastic volunteers who I’m very grateful for, we got everything cleared out by that Friday. The surviving items went to my mom’s house to be cleaned, and two full dumpsters got hauled away.
From talking to the realtor, the new owners of 76 Steinwehr are refurbishing the building, and it’s undecided what will go in there next. As for VPS, our future is uncertain too. I, personally, can’t feasibly reopen in Gettysburg, as I live too far away, but enough wardrobe and equipment survived that I could sell what’s left to a potential buyer for a *very* good price. You’d need to find a new location, but you’d have a turnkey business with a large following as soon as you open. If that sounds like an opportunity you’re interested in, feel free to reach out to me!
I’d love to see Victorian Photography Studio remain the staple that it was for decades. So many of you shared your memories from our little shop, and it meant so much. Hopefully this isn’t the end for VPS, but it’s the end of *my* time in Gettysburg.
Many of you have asked how to help or donate. Our friend and colleague Carla Rodriguez of Blkkhnd photography organized a gofundme to help us as we work with our insurance and see what’s left.
We don’t know what’s next for VPS, and we don’t know if a Gettysburg studio is in our future. This fire effectively ended our ability to conduct business, and our ability to sell. Truly the least desirable outcome 😞
We’re taking solace that nobody was hurt, and we’ll keep everyone posted as things progress.
We’re incredibly thankful to everyone who has reached out and offer to help.
Thank you all so much
