One Small Step - Clothes Cabin

We need YOU on Thursday afternoons — and trust us, it's the best 3 hours of your week.

Clothes Cabin is looking for 2–3 volunteers to join our Thursday afternoon crew — and if you've ever wanted to do something that actually makes a difference, this is it.

Here's what a Thursday looks like: you roll in at 3:50, the doors open at 4, and from there? It's go time. You're greeting neighbors, helping families find the perfect outfit, checking people in, bagging clothing, and contributing to one of the most upbeat, welcoming rooms in Gilbert. We close services at 7pm and wrap up by 7:15 — and you'll leave every single week knowing you did something real.

If front-of-house isn't your thing, we've got a spot for you too — hang and tag donations, stock the shopping floor, and keep the magic running behind the scenes.

What we're looking for:
✅ Friendly, helpful, and kind (the essentials)
✅ Reliable — we ask for one shift per week for a year because consistency matters to our programs
✅ Spanish-speaking? Big bonus — but absolutely not required
✅ Life happens — planned vacations and absences are totally fine

Thursday afternoons are our busiest shift. That means more people served, more energy in the room, and more of those moments where someone walks out with a bag full of clothes and a smile that'll stick with you. You'll see genuine relief and gratitude every single week. It never gets old.

Help us stock our hygiene kits!

We are currently collecting donations of travel-size hygiene items for individuals and families in need. Full-size items are welcome too!

Needed items include:
• Shampoo & conditioner
• Toothbrushes & toothpaste
• Deodorant

Every donation helps provide dignity, comfort, and care to someone facing difficult circumstances. Donations can be dropped off at One Small Step Monday-Thursday 10am-2pm and Thursdays 4-7pm.

We need two more teams to register to make our 5th Annual Kickball Tournament the best ever!

Quick reminder to get your team registered for the 5th Annual Let’s Kick Some Grass Kickball Tournament on Friday, March 27th at Crossroads Park in Gilbert.

Play against teams like Gilbert Fire Department, FedEx Chandler, Amazon Chandler, Phoenix Suns, Dignity Health, First Bank, and Walmart!

This is more than a kickball tournament; it's a high-energy, laugh-out-loud day that directly supports ONE SMALL STEP programs serving children, families, and individuals in our community. Every team registered helps fund programs that provide clothing, dignity, and stability to neighbors who need it most.

Double-elimination tournament (so everyone plays twice!)
Post-event lunch & party for players and spectators (with ticket)
Friendly competition, team spirit, and bragging rights
Supporting ONE SMALL STEP’s life-changing programs supporting people in need in Gilbert and the Greater Phoenix area

Team Info:

Teams of 10–16 players (minimum 5 males & 5 females, 50/50 representation)
Registration fee: $600 per team (covers 10 players, T-shirts, game day hospitality and lunch!)
Additional players: $40 per person
Spectator tickets: $20 (includes gametime hospitality, and post-event lunch)
