Skipping Stars Productions LLC is putting together the final touches on first club meetings. We’ll have food & products to sample, an assortment of interesting vendors to speak with, maybe even some entertainment.

Club meetings will be held in Old Town Gilbert during the last 2 weeks of September. A few clubs we meet in restaurants or other locations.

Drug Disposal Event
Saturday, September 25, 2010

Drug Disposal - On Saturday, September 25th from 10am-2pm in the parking lot at 75 East Civic Center Drive, the Gilbert Police Crime Prevention Unit in Partnership with the U.S. Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration will be hosting a FREE Drug Disposal “National Take Back Initiative” event. At this event, residents are encouraged to deliver their prescription and over the counter drugs that are expired or no longer needed to the on-site Police Officer for proper disposal. All prescription drugs should be taken out of their pill containers and placed in one clear plastic sandwich bag prior to delivery and all liquid medication must be left in original container. We will not be accepting any syringes or bio-waste during this event. By safely destroying medications, we can keep them out of the hands of children and others. Teenagers abuse prescription drugs more than they do any illicit drug, except ma*****na. One in five teens in Arizona admits to abusing prescription drugs, according to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office. Prescription drug related deaths jumped 41 percent from 2006 to 2007. In addition, we can help keep our water and environment free of hazards generated by the breakdown of chemicals.
