In our preschool class, story time is more than just fun — it’s a launchpad for learning!

This week, we explored the world of insects through A Grasshopper’s Night in a People House, a playful fiction story that sparked imagination and curiosity. Then, we dove into facts with Ugh! A Bug!, a nonfiction read that taught us all about the real lives of creepy crawlers.

By pairing fiction with nonfiction, our little learners get the best of both worlds: creative storytelling that fuels imagination and factual content that builds knowledge. It’s how we nurture curiosity and critical thinking—one story at a time.
