Nowadays, Youth/HS athletes are specializing, training, and competing year-around like college/pro athletes. Meanwhile, most haven’t fully developed bodies yet. Which means they are using the same sport movement patterns and using the same specific joints/connective-tissue/muscles over and over, repetitively.

Overuse = Overtraining and can lead to a breakdown or micro-traumas, which are small injuries to bones, tendons, and ligaments.

Examples are tiny tears in muscle fibers & connective-tissue, stress on tendon, or bruising of a bone. This leads to inflammation/pain, altered tissue alignment, and irregular movement. All due to irritation. If left untreated or addressed, will eventually lead to a more serious injury. So how do you combat overuse/overtraining??
