Sophie, beloved companion of Lori and Norm Tillman, passed away in the comfort of her own home April 15, 2026.

Sophie was born on a ranch August 8, 2015. Once old enough, she was taken to a pet store to find a family. She was fortunate that the Tillman family happened by the pet store and found her. Her beautiful, fluffy, blue merle coat with copper and white highlights and her darling little nubby tail endeared her to them right away. They took her home to be a friend to the family’s current dog, Scooter, and she quickly became part the family.

Sophie had a wonderful life with her family. She loved her cat siblings Maggie and Patches, as well as her dog brother, Scooter. She especially enjoyed laying in the grass under her favorite willow tree, playing fetch with her squeaky toy, and cuddling with her family.

Her family will always fondly remember Sophie for her very sweet and loving personality. She was a very good girl, who would offer comfort to Lori when she was down or sick. Sophie would stay by her side and even bring her ‘gifts’ of her toys to try to cheer her up. Lori and Norm are grateful for the almost eleven years they had with Sophie and hope to be reunited with her in the after-life someday. Rest in peace, Sophie.

Laddie Rose, born February 4, 2010, passed away in the comfort of his own home and in the arms of those who loved him most on April 11, 2026. He had a very full 16 years+ of life.

His human family, Marsha and Richard, brought Laddie into their home when he was a small puppy. Laddie was the runt of a litter of Pomeranians being sold at a local pet store when Marsha fell in love with him. It took a while (3 months) for Marsha to convince Richard to bring Laddie home but as soon as Laddie moved in, and in spite of his small size he was a huge part of the family. In typical dog fashion, Laddie ignored Richard’s reticence and decided that Richard was in fact, his favorite human.

Laddie’s home was filled with love. Before Richard and Marsha took him home, he had never felt grass below his feet or drank water from a bowl. But after he came into their home, he was taking walks, going to Home Depot, having dinner with his Mom (Marsha) and his Dad (Richard), celebrating Christmas by driving through the Festival of Lights and best of all being part of - and in charge of - his wonderful family of humans and dogs.

Laddie was small but fierce. He was definitely a warrior, facing many health challenges in his life. He either beat or lived bravely with those issues, including alopecia which he struggled with for the last 4 years of his life. Regardless of his struggles, Laddie always had the best smile.

Those who were honored to be part of Laddie’s life will always hold a place in their hearts for him. Laddie was very selective when it came to his interpersonal relationships and the following folks were lucky enough to be loved by him: his brothers Bodee and Tay; his sisters Kali and Cady; his Grandma Linda; and of course, his Mom and Dad, Marsha and Richard. Preceding him in death were his brothers Cody and Hunter; his sister Grace; and his Grandpa Skip.

Marsha and Richard are grateful for the time they got with Laddie. They are also grateful to be with him at the end when he earned his wings. They hope to be reunited with him one day in the afterlife. Rest in peace Laddie.

Princess Mia, beloved friend and companion of the Kaufman family, passed away peacefully December 9, 2025. Princess Mia was a fan of walks; playing with her best (canine) friend, Louis Vuitton; running laps around the kitchen; and her signature quality- being feisty.

The Kaufman’s were fortunate to have 17 full years with Princess Mia. They bought her from a breeder in Spearfish, South Dakota as a small puppy and, of course, as soon as she was home, she became family. They were with her all the way to the end of her time here on earth.

Princess was incredibly sweet and loved everyone she met. Because of this she stole many hearts and made many friends during her life. The following beings were especially close to Princess: her ‘siblings’ Louis Vuitton, a 12-year-old Pomeranian; Sandy, a 14-year-old Yellow Labrador; and Simba, a 21-year-old black Tabby. And her humans – Jeff and Sherrie, who were her Mom and Dad; her sisters, Samantha (Daniel) and Lacey; her brother, Josh (Lee); and her cousins, Brooklyn, Natasha, Noah, Gracin, and Averie. The doctors and staff at Animal Medical Center also played a role in Princess Mia’s life and her family is very grateful for the care she received from them throughout her life.

Princess Mia’s feistiness, her ability to smell fast food the moment it was brought into the house, and her love of cuddling in bed, are some of the memories that will always make her loved one’s smile as they think of her. They miss her very much but will always be grateful for the time they had with their Princess Mia. Rest in peace Princess Mia.

KC (Cassandra) Roberts, beloved companion, passed away December 13, 2025. KC was a beautiful calico Abyssinian Guinea Pig who was adored by her family and will always be remembered fondly.

KC was a birthday gift to her soon-to-be human sister, Amellia. At that time KC was a baby who could fit into the palm of Amellia’s hand, and she was very scared. Amellia and her family diligently worked with KC and within a month KC started to bond with them, especially Amellia’s mom, Amanda.

KC was a sassy girl, and she enjoyed many activities such as chasing her sister, cleaning her house after the humans had ‘cleaned’ it, and playing with cardboard. She kept careful track of her food, calling out with her ‘wheeks’ to alert her family if she heard the fridge or any other food related noises. She also loved being cuddled and kissed.

KC will be missed by many including Rayna, her sister guinea pig, and her human family: Berlynn, Amellia, Mom, and Dad. There are many things they will miss about KC including her sassiness, her happiness, and her darling cowlicks. They will always have fond memories of cuddling with KC while watching movies.

Amanda would like to say to KC, “You were little to everyone but yourself. Your sass and spunkiness was that of a much larger being. You are perfect. We love you and will never stop missing you. ‘Til we meet again.” Rest in peace KC.

Born March 10, 2019, Tripp Sessions-Shadrick passed away after a sudden illness on September 1, 2025. Even though his time with his family was short, it was happy and fulfilling.

Tripp came to his forever family, Brittany and Dustin, as small puppy. They traveled to Denver to get him since they were specifically looking for a Pomeranian to complete their family. Tripp was a perfect fit!

Tripp’s quirkiness was adored by his family; his happy, lazy attitude and his ability to match pitch when howling with his mom were some of his best features. Tripp enjoyed life and like dogs do, shared his enthusiasm with everyone he could. Car rides, going for walks, and camping were high on his list of favorite activities. And he especially loved howling with his mom – they made great music together.

Tripp, also fondly known as ‘Tripp-a roo-mac-a-roo macaroni & cheese’ will be greatly missed by his loved ones: Brittany & Dustin; Nevaeh, Skylar, & Ashton; and Roxie & Dixie. Tripp always greeted his family with his handsome smiles. The memory of those smiles will forever be in their hearts.

Tripp’s family is finding peace in knowing that he has been reunited with his girl, Meadow, as well as the knowledge that they too will reunite with him in the afterlife. Rest in peace Tripp.
