Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church

Today the Church celebrates the great feast of Theophany, the revelation of the Holy Trinity at the baptism of Christ in the Jordan. For the first time in the Gospel account, we see clear and direct witness of all three Persons of God in one moment and one place: the Son is baptized in the Jordan, the Father’s voice bears witness from heaven, and the Holy Spirit descends in the form of a dove. Through Christ’s baptism, the waters of creation are sanctified, and the world is renewed.

As we sing in the feast’s troparion:
“When Thou, O Lord, wast baptized in the Jordan, the worship of the Trinity was made manifest.”

Join us for Divine Liturgy this Sunday (1/11) at 10am!

Join us Monday, Jan 5th, at 5pm for a Vesperal Liturgy to celebrate Epiphany. (If you get off work at 5pm, do not hesitate to come late and as you are).
