Trooper Sergio Romero, a nine-month veteran of the Texas Department of Public Safety - Texas Highway Patrol who previously served with the Hall County (TX) Sheriff’s Office, was killed when his patrol unit hit a tractor-trailer that pulled out in front of him while he was attempting to pull over another vehicle. He leaves behind his wife and two sons.
