💦 If your Lab is living in the water this summer, ear infections are something to watch for.

Most Labs love the pool, lake, beach, and sprinklers. But all that water can trap moisture in their ears, which can lead to yeast or bacterial infections. 🦠

👀 Watch for signs like head shaking, scratching at the ears, redness, odor, discharge, sensitivity when touched, or a head tilt.

To help prevent issues, dry ears after swimming or baths, use a vet-recommended ear cleaner if advised, avoid deep cotton swabs, and check ears regularly if your dog swims often. ✅

⚠️ If you notice any of these signs, contact your veterinarian.

One week ago, Mike and Beth welcomed sweet R***r into their family, and they wanted to share this wonderful update! ❤️

"Dear Desert Labrador Retriever Rescue,

We hope you are all doing well. We wanted to share an update on R***r now that it has officially been one week since we adopted him.

We're happy to report that R***r has adjusted very well so far. He is settling into his new home and has been a wonderful addition to our family. It's been a joy getting to know his personality, and we're excited to continue helping him feel safe, loved, and at home.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Nina and Brian for fostering R***r before he came to us. It is clear that they gave him excellent care and helped prepare him for this next chapter. We are very grateful for the time, dedication, and love they invested in him.

Thank you to everyone at Desert Labrador Retriever Rescue for the incredible work you do. We appreciate everything you've done to make R***r's adoption possible, and we feel very fortunate to have him as part of our family.
