COMMISSION PIECE: Bob Viau started with a sketch book. The client approach Bob wanting a mural of her ten grandchildren playing on Wingaersheek Beach behind her home. Bob did individual Pen and Ink illustrations of each child, then illustrations of the dunes and horizon and scanned all hand done work into the computer. He digitally pieced it together to create the "scene". The piece was printed on a wipeable vinyl wallcovering and installed in one complete piece (no seams). It is 15 ft. long x 2.5 ft under cabinets and 3.5 ft. behind stove top. The panel extends to around the corner to the sink with another lighthouse panel near the refrigerator. The client worked very closely with Bob detailing her specifications of each child. She was extremely thrilled with the final piece. Bob is able to create custom ART for every client. His custom wallcoverings are site specific for any theme for any room/location.
