Mala is a term for ‘garland’ or a string of beads used for prayer and meditation. Although…I did a quick internet inquiry, and it looks like the term mala has other meanings as well, but the focus is on the garland here.😊
It’s been more than a minute since I allotted the time necessary to construct one of these beautiful necklaces. A recent conversation prompted me to summon up my patience & get into the groove of hand knotting each & every one of the 108 beads into place.
I have to say that the effect was quite divine & tranquil. I’ll be posting more mala photos as they come into being.
The one pictured here features 8mm matte amazonite beads & will be delivered to this week.
