Hey Friends, bit of a long read up ahead but just wanted to talk about a few things - so feel free to skip the next few slides and get back to your kitten/puppy videos (I don’t blame you at all):

At the start of 2024, I decided to jump into music full time and pursue art for my livelihood and sanity. Everything else I’ve ever tried never seemed to check all the boxes, by a long shot.

I had to let go a chunk of people in my life during this time, I was also blessed to gain another good chunk of folks that lifted me up in a lot of ways I didn’t know I needed.

Learning more about who I am and what I am capable of everyday. Sometimes by falling flat on my face and by ‘sometimes’, I mean pretty much each day (in the best of ways).

My dad passed away in 2021 and watching him tell me how “I could have been a baseball player…” more times than I can remember really struck home with me, it never left my head. Watching the grip slowly slip from his dreams and realizing that won’t ever come true must have been devastating. I feel partly because he never gave himself the permission to truly pursue it.

Now I’ve found myself playing at some pretty wild festivals over the past 3 years but it something felt like there was missing from each one. I was sharing some the biggest stages I had ever been lucky enough to be asked to play on, heard the didge/guitar/my voice louder than I ever had before and yet I couldn’t have felt less inspired.

Not to complain, it was an incredible opportunity that I’m very grateful for but as you know: when it just ain’t there folks, it just ain’t there.

Flash forward to me driving my ass up to Montana for 12 hours blasting Van Halen at max volume to perform a 25 minute set of music on the side stage of festival where no one knows me: Absolutely blew me away.

I had never felt more connected to myself, accomplished and giggly after a weekend of music especially with all the new goofball people I met - Red Ants Pants Music Festival showed me a brand new outlook on what I’m doing with my life and what I want/how to feel…..

Now nobody is asking me for advice but if you’re looking for a sign to pursue a new venture or try something out: this is it.

If it doesn’t work out then at least you tried. If people don’t like you for it then honestly: they can go f**k themselves lol Do you before time does you - regret is such a waste of a life.

With all of this being said, maybe I just need to smoke a joint and listen to Third Eye Blind for a bit.
