Inside a conversion press (running up to 800+ strokes per minute) tab stock and shell lanes move through a tightly synchronized progression.
On the tab side, stock indexes forward and is cut and formed through progressive dies, remaining attached until the exact moment of application.
At the center of the press, tabs are separated, placed onto the end, and riveted in a single, continuous motion.
All at speeds exceeding 5,000 ends per minute!
