I found a cool pattern on Etsy for Ghostface-inspired hot pads and had to whip up a set. I may now have to convince my husband to watch Scream 7 this weekend.

I'm super excited - I received my kit for Hobbii’s TheHerdCAL designed by Projectarian starting May 7th. I love doing crochet-alongs, and this one will be to make something I've never tried to make before: a purse. Each week, I'll be given one part of the pattern to work on, and after the 6th week, I'll have a completed purse.

I wrapped up the Gothic Spiderweb Drawstring Bag by Fox Creations last week and I am utterly thrilled with how this tiny bag turned out - it's adorably cute. The yarn's colors are so ridiculously vibrant they give the bag a slightly whimsical feel.

While the funky colored dino nugget is in time out I decided to try another new pattern out. You better believe I remembered to use of one my nifty row counters for this one. 😅 when completed this is going to be a cute little spiderweb drawstring bag designed by Fox Creations

Had to chuckle at myself. Was trying out a new pattern I just bought to eventually make Dino nuggets. I made one side without the use of my trusty row counter, and it turned out cute. So, the next day I decided to make the other side again without my row counter and…now I have one Dino with his head on backwards. 😂 Yep, I feel smarter and definitely learned my lesson that especially when I’m healing and not at my best I need to make sure to use my trusty row counter.
So, for now the Dino nugget pattern is going to time out with a certain hammer that I’ve been working on off and on for months.

This is one of my latest stashes of yarn to create more awesome geeky projects. I've already got plans for everything in this hoard and am super excited to see how they turn into masterpieces.

Occasionally I must conjure up stuff to satisfy the feline yarn inspection squad. These catnip stuffed rattling Jellyfish Monsters appear to hit the spot. Plenty of tentacles for our whiskered overlords to bat around and all the excellent 'nip for the kitty emperors to revel in.

Another Christmas present I forgot to post is these Never Ending Story inspired hot pads I made. I decided to not go with the normal black, gold, and silver colors for the Auryn with these, choosing to go with brighter colors instead.

For all the yarn lovers out there, today is the last day of Yarnspirations' amazing 40% off site-wide sale. I've taken advantage of this sale and placed multiple orders, stocking myself up on enough yarn for two graphic blankets, two pretty detailed dolls, an opinionated wizard hat, my first tapestry wall hanging, a detailed winged guardian, and extra yarn to make some keychains and other small projects. If I hadn't caught this sale, I would have probably only been able to afford the yarn for one blanket and maybe two other projects. Last summer I decided to drag my creations to the local county fair, and I was basically bursting to find out I swept the board with 1st and 2nd place wins all around. But the real jaw-dropper was when my Velveteen Dragon took Reserve Overall in Handicrafts - talk about a dragon-sized surprise.
