Production Technician

Job Summary:

We are looking for a hard-working Production Technician to assist in the mattress manufacturing process. The Production Technician’s responsibilities include keeping the production area clean, preparing machinery and equipment for use, working the production line as instructed, and strictly following health and safety guidelines.
To be successful as a Production Technician you should be able to work on the production line with consistent speed and accuracy. An outstanding Production Worker should be able to maintain production standards and work towards improving productivity without compromising quality.


Supervisory Responsibilities:
None


Duties/Responsibilities:
Maintaining a clean workstation and production floor.
Assembling products and parts.
Following production guidelines and specifications.
Finalizing and packaging products for shipment.
Operating and maintaining machinery and production line equipment.
Monitoring the assembly line and removing faulty products.
Working on the production line and meeting production targets.
Reporting any issues to the team leader or supervisor on duty.
Performing other related tasks as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
Very Heavy work: Lifting up to 50 pounds constantly and up to 100 pounds via team lift frequently
Standing: To remain on one’s feet in an upright position without moving about.
Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
Stooping: Bending the body forward and down while bending the spine at the waist 45 degrees or more either over something below waist level or down towards an object on or near the ground.
Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and make fine discriminations in sound.
The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work.
The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.

Summary:

We are currently searching for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our growing team to repair plant machinery. Execute the TPM activities, ensure the performance of the responsible machines, achieve the relevant KPI.

Job Duties:
Inspect and perform repairs and preventive maintenance on the responsible machinery and equipment.
Diagnose, test, repair, calibrate, and operate certain mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic equipment.
Assist with equipment installation and set-up in all departments.
Read and interpret basic blueprints, machine drawings, and parts diagrams.
Assist in research and order replacement parts when needed.
Apply to understand basic hydraulics, pneumatics, motor-generator principles, motor control theory, motor drive, and coupling alignment.

Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required, industrial maintenance schooling preferred.
Previous experience in a plant or industrial maintenance role is required.
Basic experience with shop math and basic ability to read and understand schematics, blueprints, and other drawings.
Ability to work on a team and cooperate with others.
Positive attitude and problem-solving skills.
