Fleas are one to the most important groups of insect pests because they not only cause discomfort by biting, but they can transmit several diseases such as plague and murine typhus. Color brownish black to black, but reddish black when full of blood. It is not necessary to have pets in the building in order to have fleas present.
Since fleas can jump about 6” (15 cm) vertically, they can easily hitch a ride on shoes, trousers, etc. Many vacationers who may have been unaware of the few adult fleas present, are often greeted and severely attacked by fleas upon their return. This can occur even if the building has been vacant of animals and people for as long as 6 months or so.
Whether you need commercial pest service or residential pest service contact Az BugZ for an inspection and quality that no other company can surpass.

Crickets are one of the more common insects that a Phoenix exterminator will see during pest control services. Phoenix is home to over 11,000 unique desert insects and several types/species of crickets. Most homeowners do not consider crickets a nuisance until that are kept awake by a chirping males seeking a mate, or they are overrun by a cricket invasion. Crickets do not bite nor carry diseases so they often rank a bit lower on the “I need pest control now” list.
Arizona crickets can multiply rapidly and more importantly they are a favorite food source for predator type insects that “sting” and “bite.” Stinging and biting insects will be attracted to healthy cricket populations and can be a threat to homeowners. Cricket pest control should not be taken lightly.
Controlling cricket populations is similar to most Arizona insects…control nesting areas, reduce moisture sources, eliminate food sources and seal access points to your home.
Crickets mate and lay eggs in the Arizona soil during the monsoon season. The eggs over-winter in the soil and hatch shortly after a period of rising temperatures and spring rains. The tiny immature crickets, called nymphs, look exactly like Cricket minime’s (except they have no wings) and feed on the same types of food. Within approximately 90 days the nymphs mature into adults.
Indian House Crickets and Field Crickets are the two most common crickets found in metro Phoenix and generate the bulk of calls for cricket pest control.
