Going from Potatoes to Cannabis?
With all of us here at Skyfall, growing up in the most Northern part of Maine, potato harvest was all we knew. Every year, the school system would close for about 3 weeks or until the harvest was done. At age 13, I hand-picked potatoes for 75 cents for a 55 gal barrel. At 16, we were old enough to work on the harvesters, and it was everyday sunrise to sunset, rain or shine for those 3 weeks.
At that time, we never knew what a big part this culture would all play in our love for growing. The struggles of farming, countless hours, and love they put into the soil, all to make a decent living.
This precedence has been translated and ingrained in our souls as growers now. It became the building blocks for consistency and helps us to literally stay grounded to who we are as cannabis farmers. As the harvests seem to come and go, our dedication and demand for the plant will never change.🌱
