🎉 Senior Shoutout 🎉

Next up in our senior spotlight is CDT Joshua Paraskos! 🫡
Major: Medical Biology (Pre-Med)
Minor: Biochemistry
Role: Assistant S6

As Assistant S6, CDT Paraskos has helped support the battalion’s communications and technical systems—making sure information and resources stay connected!

Outside of ROTC and academics, he enjoys hiking, weightlifting, and working on/ driving his car and motorcycle.

Paraskos joined ROTC because it gave him the opportunity to pursue his dream of becoming a doctor while also challenging himself both physically and mentally. Through the program, he’s been able to work toward practicing medicine in what he believes is one of the most meaningful settings possible—serving as an Army physician.

His dream job is to become an Army doctor, ideally working as an emergency physician or trauma surgeon, combining medicine, leadership, and the fast paced challenges of military service.

One of his favorite parts of ROTC has been the friendships he’s built along the way and the “Type 3 fun” that comes from tackling difficult challenges as a team and still finding ways to enjoy the experience.

After commissioning, CDT Paraskos will pursue an Educational Delay so he can attend medical school and continue working toward his goal of becoming a physician.

CDT Paraskos, thank you for the discipline and drive you’ve shown throughout your time in the battalion. Your ambition to serve others through medicine is inspiring, and we know you’ll make an incredible impact in the future. Best of luck as you continue toward medical school and your goal of becoming an Army physician. 🩺

Next up in our senior spotlight is CDT Jack Curry from Connecticut! 🫡

Major: Business Administration
Role: Bravo Company Commander

As B Co Company Commander, CDT Curry has led from the front—setting the tone for his company and helping guide cadets through training, challenges, and everything in between. His leadership has played a big role in building a strong team environment within the battalion.

When he’s not in uniform or in class, you can find Curry snowboarding, working on woodworking projects, or in the gym. He joined ROTC because he wanted to serve a greater purpose, and through the program he’s found that in the people around him. The relationships and teamwork built in ROTC are what he says he’ll miss the most.

After commissioning, CDT Curry will branch Field Artillery (FA) 💥. He’s excited about the physicality and hands-on nature that comes with being part of a combat arms branch.

CDT Curry, thank you for the leadership you’ve shown as Bravo Company Commander and the example you’ve set for the cadets around you. Your dedication to the team and willingness to lead from the front has made a big difference in the battalion. We wish you the best as you head into Field Artillery and take on the challenges ahead. 💥

🎉 Senior Shoutout 🎉

Next up in our senior spotlight is CDT Troy Moscatelli from Brookline, New Hampshire! 🫡

Major: Cyber Security
Role: Battalion Assistant S3

As the Battalion Assistant S3, CDT Moscatelli has helped support the planning and coordination of training for the battalion—playing an important role in making sure events and operations run smoothly. Outside of ROTC and academics, Moscatelli wrestles for USM, plays guitar for fun, and enjoys getting out to play some disc golf.

He joined ROTC not only for the financial benefits, but also because he wanted the structure and leadership development that the program provides—skills he plans to carry with him into his future civilian career.

One of his favorite parts of ROTC has been the opportunities the program has given him, including attending the Army Space Operations Course and traveling to Advanced Camp in Kentucky. What he’ll miss most is getting to mentor and help develop the younger MS levels into future officers.

After commissioning, CDT Moscatelli will branch Cyber 💻—a perfect fit with his major and a path that will give him strong opportunities both in the Army and in the civilian workforce. His dream job is to eventually become a senior cyber security analyst for a major company like BAE.

CDT Moscatelli, thank you for the leadership and mentorship you’ve provided to the battalion. Your willingness to help develop younger cadets and take them under your wing has made a bigger impact than you know. We’re excited to see you move forward in the Cyber branch and we know you’ll do great things in both the Army and beyond. 💻

B Co Lab Recap!

We start labs with a series of classes to prepare cadets for the day’s training. For this lab, cadets first received instruction on TTLODAC from CDT Lacroix, followed by a Claymore class led by CDT Curtis and CDT Hill, and finished with an Ambush class taught by CDT Paraskos.

After grabbing a quick breakfast and gearing up for the cold weather, cadets stepped off and marched to the training area to conduct two ambush lanes in the woods. Lane one was run by CDT Sanchez as PL (CDT Diaz as PSG) and lane two was run by CDT Diaz as PL (CDT Pruitt as PSG). This gives cadets the opportunity to apply what they had learned in a realistic field environment.

After completing the training, cadets returned to the clubhouse for cleanup and an AAR, where they discussed lessons learned and ways to improve for future training.

Great work from B Co putting their tactical knowledge into practice! Have a fun and safe spring break!
