What exactly is a Barndominium? More commonly known as a Barndo.

A barndominium is a type of home that combines the look and structure of a barn with the comfort and layout of a modern home.

More specifically,

Structure: Usually built with a steel frame structure (like a barn).

Interior: Fully furnished living space including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living areas etc.

Flexible Layout: Can include open-concept living, vaulted ceilings, large windows, and even attached shops or garages.

Efficiency: A barndominium can be more efficient to build because of the steel or post-frame construction requires fewer materials.

Customizable: Barndos are completely customizable to each persons wants and needs. You can explore rustic, modern, farmhouse or a mixture of all styles.

Below are photos that highlight the craftsmanship and creative freedom made possible through metal framing in our barndominiums. They showcase both the clean, simplistic structural elements and the more unique, intricate framing details that set each build apart.

Butler Built Homes loves the creative freedom and unique blend of design and craftsmanship that comes with building custom barndominiums, and we take pride in making each home something truly special and unique for our clients.

Natural wood accents give this barndominium its warmth and character, creating a timeless first impression from the outside in. Thoughtfully selected paint tones and tile choices add depth and personality, turning this build into a space that feels intentional, inviting, and uniquely home.
