"I am the Digital Marketing Intern at Hormel Foods, where I primarily support the SPAM® brand social media team. My internship is located at Hormel’s corporate headquarters in Austin, Minnesota.

My favorite part has been working on real marketing projects that have an impact on a nationally recognized brand. I’ve also enjoyed collaborating with people across different departments and learning how the many teams at Hormel work together to build and market their brands.

I found the internship through my own job search and applied online. The Pancratz Center helped by reviewing my resume, offering career resources, and providing guidance that made me feel more prepared throughout the application and interview process.

My advice to other students is to start applying early and don’t be afraid to apply even if you don’t meet every qualification. Tailor your resume for each position, practice interviewing, and take advantage of the resources available through the Pancratz Center. Building connections and staying involved on campus can also lead to great opportunities."
